For all the people who say they SOMEHOW miss me.... haha
Mhmk, glad to get that out of the way. Ha.

Let me start off with my new crazy obsession:
I am 100% obsesssed with sauteeing and steaming fruits and vegetables. Like it's weird. It's all I want to eat. I have just been seriously trying EVERYTHING. I made steamed/sauteed Celery and Carrots with Alfredo sauce. I steamed Celery in Sprite. I made sauteed apples 4 different times. First time: Water and Lemon Juice.
Second: Sprite and Lemon Juice. Then I finished it with sugar.
Third: PURE Sprite with SOME lemon juice at the end. Them I caramelized with Sugar.
Fourth: Water and Lemon juice and sugar. Then topped it with cinnamon and vanilla extract.
I am obsessed and C A N N O T stop. Haha.

Last week....
I am struggling to remember last Tuesday. Apparently I taught a Perla and then an Ernesto, at least that is what I wrote down but I have absolutely ZERO recollection of those lessons. We DID have interviews with President Cleveland though and those went nice. President's first thing he said to me was about the SF Giants winning, HAHA. He is a Dodger's fan. Yuck.

Wednesday I went on exchanges with my MTC Companion, Elder Wolverton, and it was quite fitting seeing as it was our 17 month mark. Weird! We managed to teach lots of people that have absolutely Z E R O interest hahaha. Atleast they let us plant the seed....

Thursday was awful. Nothing happened. ZZZZZZZZ.

Friday was SICK though. Had exchanges with Elder Wright here in Elkhart. Man, what DIDN'T we do? We taught a whole heck of a lot of people and then when we were out contacting we decided to get into an intense Photo contest. We were taking photos of everything and then we edited them and printed them out on Saturday and had a bunch of people judge them. I am not exactly sure if the contest is over yet but I am currently ahead 221 to 219..... Oh and I am currently winning for best overall picture too ;)

Saturday we taught Abraham and he is HILARIOUS. That's all I can really say for him. I hope he can become progressing so we can actually get to know him better.....We also went to the YMCA with some members and played soccer and racquetball and it was super fun!

Not much is happening with no one even remotely CLOSE to baptism. I'll probably be here till January though so hopefully we can get something going fast. It's getting COLD which means lots of sniffles and sweaters coming soon!

Hope you all had a GREAT week and I would like to leave y'all with a SCRIPTURE:

13 Wherefore, I call upon the weak things of the world, those who are unlearned and despised, to thrash the nations by the power of my Spirit

That's the motto homies, THRASH THE NATIONS. ha.

Love you all, have a sick week!

OH MAN, let me just start off by being RIDICULOUSLY obnoxious....

SAAAAAAN FRAAAAANCIIIIIIIIIISCOOOOOO GIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIANNNNTSSS! WORLD SERIES CHAMPS!!!
Man, was I happy about it or what? Going to bed without knowing who won Game 7 was ridiculous but LUCKILY my prayers worked and the boys came out on top! 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 5 YEARS. YESSIR.

Aight, so that's that. I'll be home next baseball season. #Holla.

The computer lab here gives us like absolutely no time to email so I will see what I can fit in.

The branch here is super small still and the work is slow. I mean we found 13 new investigators this week but not a single one came to church. Hopefully over time at least one of them decides to become more interested haha.

Got to go to South Bend on exchanges and it was super successful as we taught 7 lessons in an area that averages two a week #ballerstatus

Funny story of the week: Last night the 6 missionaries in branch all went to eat with the Romero's (SHE MADE TINGA BECAUSE I REQUESTED IT. YUM.) and we wanted to play spoons BUT WE HAD NO CARDS. So, being missionaries and knocking doors being completely normal to us, I went with Elder Wright and we knocked doors asking for playing cards and after like a half hour, WE GOT SOME! Hahaha. Pretty fun.

Met this insanely racist white woman he pretty much condemned us to Hell for helping out hispanics.....

While tracting for cards, a white guy slammed the door on us.... TWICE. Opened SLAMMED Opened SLAMMED. Hilarious. So happy to be a Spanish Missionary.

That's pretty much it though. Hopefully we have sick miracles this week I can report back on!

#SFGiants

LOVE YOU ALL,
Elder Groseclose !
Went tracting with Elder Wright to ask people for playing cards until we finally found some HAHAHAH

October 20, 2014

QI don't really know what to say. Most important, I am getting transferred. Leaving the branch here in Indy. ): New address:
Also, don't really understand why but I've also been called to be a District Leader. It's crazy to think there are only two Spanish Elders with more time than me in the mission, and they both leave in 6 weeks. So I guess I should have seen this coming, and to be honest, I did.
I don't wanna leave the City, at all. Like not one single bit of me is sick of being here. 8 and a half months and I could stay here for the rest of my mission. I don't know how it happened but my heart found its home here. Totally cried like a baby last night thinking of walking into a new chapel next week and not seeing all those familiar faces...... I'd say it's bitter sweet because that's what people always say but I can't find the sweet. Texted all the members Goodbye this morning and the love I received back was just so humbling and made me so so grateful. Giovanna told me "Tu sabes que Dios te manda para alla por una buena razon. Tu pronto lo sabr
ás." And I realize that she's right. So I guess that can be the sweet. Knowing that God has a purpose for me to go where I am going. Someone needs ME. Crazy.
Don't really feel like a long analysis of my week because it was just a lot of goodbyes and sadness so I'll give kinda a few thoughts of departing these people.
Catarina. Was at church again. We've already established how devastating my departure will be there. She's an amazing and I have complete faith that I will come back to see her baptized one day. Whether in my mission or later on. She can do it. She knows it.
My boy Karim is sick. We put him on a date for December 13th and he was at church Sunday. He's adorable. In a lesson he randomly asked his mom "How many steps is it to school?" And she said "Depends how fast you walk" and he went "OOOOOHHHHHH" like it was such a new, profound concept. Little boss man. We gave him a BOM Storybook with homework to read chapter one by Tuesday. An hour later his mom told me that he already read it and can't wait for us to be there again on Tuesday. Love ya little man!
That's pretty much the only two I feel like talking about.
There was a specialized training for Trainers/Trainess in their first transfer last week, so I didn't go but someone told me something super funny that happened. So apparently they were all roleplaying lessons and recording them on a bunch of iPads and then President picked a few to plug in to the TV big screen for everyone to watch a few. He pulled one up and saw a sister had taken a bunch of selfies on one of the iPads and he gets in front of everyone and says "Well Sister, the only person in the mission who takes more selfies than you is Elder Groseclose!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA PRES CALLED ME OUT!!!
So that's pretty much the week. Completely different life all over again starting Wednesday.
LOVE YOU ALL.

October 27, 2014

I don't even really have the motivation to write a lot.
I don't have the motivation to write anything at all actually..... Awkward.....

I'm District Leader in Elkhart like I knew I would be. Transfers are so predictable.

Not sure how long I'll be here. Probably 1, 2, or 3 transfers. Don't see it going beyond that seeing as I only have 4 left after this one. Weird.

I'd LOVE to get out of here before the hellacious winter that's on it's way. Why do I gotta be up north for the winter again? Laaaame.

Sorry this message sucks. I just got here and don't know anyone but apparently all the members remember me even though I was only here for 6 weeks the last time. THAT'S COOL.

We'll see what this week brings. Should be a very interesting one. Haha.

My last night in White River ))))))): Saying bye to the Branch by having a huge game of chair soccer!!
